Cosen develops custom bandsaw solutions for large, unusual, and technically demanding applications that fall outside the capabilities of a standard machine.

Our engineering team works with customers to evaluate the material, cutting requirements, capacity, process, controls, safety, and other application needs to determine an appropriate saw configuration.

Fully Custom Bandsaws

For applications that cannot be addressed with a standard machine, Cosen can develop a fully custom bandsaw around the customer's cutting requirements.


These projects are typically larger or more specialized applications where capacity, material, process, automation, or machine configuration differs significantly from a standard saw.
 

Customer drawings and application requirements can be used as a starting point to help Cosen's
engineering team develop the machine concept.

Special Materials & Unusual Cutting Applications

Cosen can evaluate sawing applications involving materials and processes outside conventional metal cutting.
 

Custom applications may involve:

 

  • Plastics and engineered polymers

  • Ceramics

  • Glass

  • Graphite

  • Silicon and other brittle materials

  • Aluminum and other high speed cutting applications

  • Large billets, forgings, or unusual workpiece geometries

Material behavior, work-holding, cutting method, blade requirements, machine protection, and process requirements are evaluated as part of the application.
