Readers of Metal Center News identify those equipment brands that stand out

A relatively stable year in the Metal Center News’ Top Brands survey showed three leading names repeat their top finishes from the 2025 ranking. Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, Ill.; TRUMPF, Farmington, Conn.; and Invera, makers of  ERP software INVEX, Dallas, topped their respective categories – coil processing, cutting and software – again in 2026. 

The other top finishers were The Caldwell Group, Rockford, Ill., in material handling and Cosen Saws, Charlotte, N.C., among the sawing companies.
 
Each year, Metal Center News’ surveys its readers on the leading providers of equipment among the five largest capital expenditure product categories – coil processing, sawing, cutting, material handling and ERP software. Once a simple Top 10 encompassing all brands in a single survey, it was modified more than a decade ago to isolate the different types of equipment that can be found on warehouse floors and in offices.
