Warehouse Specialist

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, material handling, and forklift activities while also performing inspections of bandsaw machines to help ensure machines meet company quality and operational standards before shipment or delivery.
70% focused on forklift operation, warehouse support, material handling, and related duties. Approximately 30% of the position will be dedicated to bandsaw machine inspections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Forklift Operator & Warehouse Support – Approximately 70%

Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials, including saws and related equipment.

Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments.

Relocate materials, equipment, and inventory within the warehouse or factory.

Safely operate forklifts, winches, and other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.

Perform and document daily forklift inspections.

Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse and work environment.

Track inventory of incoming and outgoing items.
-
Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials when necessary.

Organize warehouse materials and storage areas.

Build pallets as needed.

Stage machines for shipment, production, inspection, or other operational needs.
-
Maintain inventory and stock materials and supplies.
-
Assist with tool audits.
-
Purchase wood and other miscellaneous supplies as assigned.
-
Maintain vehicle maintenance records and coordinate vehicle services as needed.
-
Perform miscellaneous warehouse and operational duties, including preparing saws for trade shows or other events.

Serve as backup support for parts shipping.
-
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and company operations.
Bandsaw Machine Inspection – Approximately 30%

Perform inspections of bandsaw machines according to company inspection procedures and quality standards.

Conduct visual and functional checks of machines to identify defects, damage, missing components, or other issues.

Verify that machines are properly assembled and ready for shipment or delivery.

Check machine condition, cleanliness, safety guards, labels, accessories, and other required items.

Document inspection results and report any defects, deficiencies, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or department.

Assist with correcting minor issues when appropriate and coordinate with other team members when additional repair or adjustment is required.

Help ensure machines are properly prepared and staged after inspection.

Maintain an organized and safe machine inspection and staging area.

Follow all company safety procedures while inspecting or handling bandsaw machines.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.

Ability to inspect machinery carefully and identify visible defects, missing components, or operational concerns.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to follow inspection procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machinery are preferred.

Ability to maintain accurate inspection, inventory, and maintenance records.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with warehouse, production, quality, and service personnel.

Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

Ability to perform the physical duties associated with warehouse and material-handling work.
